Dr. Acacia Packer is a board-certified Pediatrician. She is a 2010 graduate of the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Dr. Packer received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine in 2015 from Western University of Health Sciences – College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific (COMP) – Northwest. As part of the inaugural class at her medical school she founded the Pediatric Interest Group. The group conducted workshops and volunteer activities in the community to raise awareness and involvement in pediatrics.
In 2015 Dr. Packer moved to Tucson to begin her pediatric residency program at the University of Arizona College of Medicine. She completed her residency in the spring of 2018 and is excited about her career with Old Pueblo Pediatrics.
Dr. Packer is a Pacific Northwest native, born and raised in Seattle, Washington. She and her husband, Tom, enjoy discovering the many sites throughout Tucson and Arizona. They especially like to hike and enjoy watching the sunset at Gates Pass. They have two loveable cats with big personalities. In the summer of 2019, they welcomed their son, Finn, to their family.
While interested in all aspects of pediatrics, Dr. Packer has a special interest in caring for newborns as it is a special time for each family to welcome their new baby. Dr. Packer says it is a humbling opportunity for her to become a trusted partner in a family’s newest adventure.
